
1. Must be a citizen of the United States of America prior to date of making application. 2. Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age at time of application.
3. Must submit completed application to the Commision together with an authenticated birth certificate or other satisfactory evidence of date and place of birth.
4. Must not have been convicted of felony which has not been annulled, expundged, or sealed by a court.
5. Be a High School graduate of have a G.E.D. and supply grades/credits if requested.
6. Meet the residential requirements as provided by State Law.
7. Applicant does not need to be certified in the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) to apply, however the applicant must obtain and keep current a CPAT certification prior to being eligible for a conditional appointment to the Fire Department at the applicants expense.
Application forms for appointment may be obtained from the Chief of the Fire Department, Chiefs designee, the Commission, or the City's Personnel Department. The must be submitted directly to the Commission of Personnel Department.
